A very successful initial brainstorming meeting was held on the 1st of June 2015 with clinicians and researchers from Alfred Health, the Faculty of Engineering, the Australian Regenerative Medicine Institute, the CSIRO Manufacturing Flagship and the Hudson Institute of Medical Research. The focus of the meeting was to discuss clinical need and to identify short and long term strategies in tissue engineering, regenerative medicine and biomaterials that could provide better clinical outcomes for burns patients and wound healing more generally. A follow up meeting is planned over the next few weeks.
